About the Blog

You know when you're so bent on doing something well that you keep putting off starting it? Well that's what has been happening here. St. Thérèse so desperately deserves to be written about as carefully and lovingly as I can. But I've told myself today that an imperfect explanation is better than none at all, so here I go.

If you don't know her, please get to. St. Thérèse of Lisieux is such an inspiration to live authentically, beautifully, lovingly, simply, innocently.  Although she is not my patron saint, I have become increasingly devoted to her over the last few years as I have learned more about her.

During her brief life on earth, she frequently wrote and spoke about the 'Little Way' which she described this way shortly before her death:

I realize these are not roses, but of my dozens of photos of flowers, these came closest!
"It is the way of spiritual childhood, the way of trust and absolute surrender. I want to point out to souls the means that I have always found so completely successful, to tell them there is only one thing to do here below - to offer Our Lord the flowers of little sacrifices and win Him by our caresses. That is how I have won Him, and that is why I shall be made so welcome."

God knows that I am very far from being a saint. But, I have taken great comfort and inspiration from St. Thérèse's idea of the "Little Way,"and I hope to be making my own way down that path. This blog is therefore named in the hope and prayer that I may live so as to follow St. Thérèse's footsteps and, God-willing, bring some friends with me. <3
